Founded in May 2022, Photon Crystal Energy Technology Ltd. specialises in the development and manufacture of high-efficiency, long-lifetime, large-area, low-cost printable perovskite photovoltaic modules. Our core team includes alumni of the University of Melbourne, University of New South Wales, and Peking University, featuring one Academician, two Professors and several PhD holders, bringing deep technical expertise and extensive industrial experience. We have been recognised with prestigious industry awards, including Top 50 “Maker Guangdong”, Top 500 “Maker China”, and the 2024 Outstanding Guangdong Solar Energy Enterprise.
In August 2024, we launched the first 100 MW intelligent production line for perovskite photovoltaic modules in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area - also the world’s first perovskite photovoltaic modules production line using full printing technology. The production line leverages proprietary ink formulations and full-printing processes. It produces 1200 mm × 600 mm perovskite photovoltaic modules that deliver high efficiency and long lifetime at low cost. Once operating at designed capacity, the line will generate an annual output value exceeding RMB 100 million. Its successful commissioning marks a significant step into industrial-scale manufacturing and commercial deployment, laying a solid foundation for future expansion toward a 1 GW production line.

Our core team has over a decade of experience in perovskite solar cell research, bringing together one Academician, two Professors, and multiple PhD holders. With deep scientific expertise, we have established a complete technology landscape spanning from fundamental research to industrial-scale production, with our core technological capabilities firmly positioned at the forefront of the industry.
Photon Crystal Energy has mastered defect-free scaling-up technology and proprietary ink formulations, and has independently developed large-area slot-die coating technology—leading to the establishment of the world’s first perovskite photovoltaic modules production line using full printing technology. Laboratory small-area cell photovoltaic conversion efficiency exceeds 27%, and square-metre-size modules have achieved a certified output of 120 W, and passed IEC61215, IEC61730 and other authoritative tests.
Compared with physical vapor deposition (PVD) processes, slot-die full-printing technology provides outstanding advantages in material utilisation, energy efficiency, equipment investment, and scalability. We offer mass-produced standard modules for utility-scale solar plants and distributed PV systems, as well as customised BIPV module solutions, including transparency, colours, patterns, and dimensions to meet diverse architectural and project requirements.
